Public Meetings

An open-house public hearing on the Page-Olive Connector Study was held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Parkway Central High School gymnasium, located at 369 N. Woods Mill Road, Chesterfield, Missouri.

The purpose of this public hearing was to provide citizens and public officials the opportunity to review, discuss and comment on the environmental study performed for the proposed improvement. A Draft Environmental Assessment document prepared by St. Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic was available for examination and comment.

The proposed improvement evaluated in the environmental study is to provide for an improved north-south transportation system between the Maryland Heights Expressway and the Route 141 Relocation in St. Louis County. The project length is approximately 2.5 miles long, with a northern terminus at the intersection of River Valley Drive and Maryland Heights Expressway, and a southern terminus at Olive Boulevard at the north end of the proposed Route 141 Relocation, which is being developed by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).

No formal presentations or statements were made at this open-house public hearing. Personnel from St. Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic were available to discuss the project and answer questions from interested citizens. Personnel from MoDOT were available to answer questions. Related exhibits, maps and other information were available for public review. Written comments were received at this public hearing, and for those wishing to make oral comments a recording device was available.

The Final Environmental Assessment document was approved in July 2009.
