Traffic Changes & Road Closures

Wednesday March 16, 2011: A 500-foot section of Creve Coeur Mill Road will be temporarily closed for reconstruction from Maryland Heights Expressway to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Entrance.

  • Northbound Creve Coeur Mill motorists will continue north on the Maryland Heights Expressway.
  • Motorists may access Creve Coeur Mill Road north of the closure via the Maryland Heights Expressway/Creve Coeur Mill Road Intersection located approximately one mile north of Page Avenue.

Wednesday April 20, 2011: Maryland Heights Expressway will be closed from the Creve Coeur Mill Road/Waterworks Road Intersection to the Page Avenue Interchange.

  • This section of Maryland Heights Expressway will remain closed until completion of the new roadway between Page Avenue and Olive Boulevard.
  • Concurrently with the Maryland Heights Expressway closure, Creve Coeur Mill Road will be reopened. Work will then continue to place the Creve Coeur Mill Road/Waterworks Road Intersection in its new configuration (similar to that prior to 2007).

Maryland Heights Expressway (From Page Avenue to River Valley Drive)

  • One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction during construction.
  • Page Avenue Ramps will remain open during construction.
  • Lanes will be shifted and narrowed to facilitate construction.
  • Some short duration construction activities will require flagging that could result in short delays.
  • The speed limit through the project has been lowered to 30 mph.

New Alignment (From Waterworks Road to Olive Boulevard)

  • Construction is predominantly away from traffic which will continue to use Creve Coeur Mill Road.
  • Watch for trucks entering and leaving the roadway.
